On Tuesday the 21st June, Scoil Ghráinne’s first class of students graduated with a beautiful ceremony. This particular group of students began in 2008 with the opening of a brand new school, Scoil Ghráinne CNS. ON the night there were speeches by the principal, Mr. Scully, the manager Mr. Ian Murphy, Sheek Umar, Imam and Mr. Byrne, the 6th class teacher. Our previous school principal was also present for the celebrations. But more importantly there were poems, speeches and songs performed by the students themselves. Many awards were also given out on the night for all of the achievements of the classes. Congratulations to Elizabeth, Éle and David who each received overall student of the year awards. Award for resilience went to Lauren, organisation went to Ciarán, Getting Along went to Lia Anderson-Boland, Confidence went to Muna and Persistence went to Ladan. There were also awards for full and excellent attendence with Abdul and Ayonmikun receiving the overall attendance award. We would like to congratulate all of the students on their excellent work over the years and wish them all the best for the future. We will all miss you very much.
