6th Class Seomra Nóinín

Ms. McPartlan’s sixth class in Seomra Nóinín have some exciting news to share. Our classmate, Oisín Tebite, has made us very proud over the past few months. Oisín has been training hard and competed in the All Ireland’s School Swimming Finals last week. Oisín received a silver medal for the front crawl race. He also made personal bests in his times in front crawl 50 metres in 29.67 seconds and back crawl 50 metres in 34.64 seconds. Well done Oisín, keep up the training!

In other news, Joseph was our class finalist and representative in our school Spelling Bee competition! Shruthi was chosen as a semi-finalist in the national Google for Doodle competition! Congratulations to you both! We have also entered the Bord Gais Script Writing Competition – watch this space!

Currently in Seomra Nóinín we are continuing writing scripts for short scenes, learning lots of about fractions, decimals and percentages, and learning about the history of Ireland around the ‘Golden Era’ of Saints and Scholars of Ireland. We have also all improved in our athletics skills and running pace. Wishing you all an enjoyable midterm from Seomra Nóinín! 🙂
