Seomra Oisín has been working very hard since we got back from our Christmas holidays. In English, we have started to learn about Procedural Writing. In Maths, we have been learning about the 24 hour clock in “Time”. In preparation for the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising, we have been learning about the 7 signatories of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic. In Geography we have been learning about the weather and about the instruments used to measure wind and rain. I nGaeilge bhí muid ag foghlaim faoi tinneas agus bhi muid ag cleachtadh comhrá agus ag déanamh ról imirt “san ospidéal”. Seomra Oisín has also been enjoying swimming lessons in PE

January 2020
Hello Everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed the Winter break. It is unfortunate that we find ourselves in
this difficult situation but I am confident that we will survive the challenges we face
and be stronger for it.
As you know we have moved to remote learning and we are currently drawing up our
action plan. All teachers are engaging with their classes through Aladdin this week as
we sort through some IT issues and plan for SEESAW which we will be using after
that. We know that it can be very difficult for some households to manage particularly
as there may be more than one child accessing devices. We don’t want you to be
overwhelmed however. It is important that children stay connected with their learning
and we want to support them as much as we can. With that in mind , we will put up new
ideas and suggestions on the website each week in addition to what teachers will be
posting.
We are also contactable at 01 6402418 or s.ghrainne@gmail.com if we can help in any
way.
