On Friday the 1st of May we had a cake sale to raise money for a new kit for the G.A.A. All of the food was kindly sponsored by ‘Little Cozy Pace’. ‘Little Cozy Pace’ is situated in Little Pace across from the Paddocks. It is a well-regarded coffee shop and they provide lots of fresh tasty treats and sandwiches every day. Little Cozy Pace is owned and run by Jenny and Ed (parents of Lia and Holly who both attend Scoil Ghráinne) Ed and Jenny wanted to sponsor the girls a new set of G.A.A. jerseys so they supplied ALL of the food for the cake Sale. They provided loads of tasty treats such as; cookies, cup cakes, brownies, orange chocolate tart and lots of tasty, delicious breads and cakes. The 5th class G.A.A. members got to put on some gloves and help out for the day. They got to experience what the working world is like and they did a super job. They were very welcoming and professional when attending to all the hungry customers. In all we raised 784Euro and had a fantastic day. Huge thanks to Jenny and Ed for all their tasty treats and also for giving up their day to come and help us with the cake sale. They also provided a limited edition Scoil ghráinne jersey cake. This was raffled off and the lucky winner was Emmanuel from Mr. Meegans 5th class. We are looking forward to getting our new Little Cozy Pace’ jerseys.
