Getting Along Assembly February 2nd

At this weeks assembly, the focus was on ‘Getting Along’. This term are focusing on the YCDI foundation of ‘Getting Along’, which is a great foundation to start with in the new year! Examples of some of the ways we Get Along here in Scoil Ghráinne are, playing well with friends, taking turns, listening to others, sharing things and helping our classmates. It is also very important that we use gentle hands, gentle feet and kind words.

The assembly performances were by Miss Tuite’s junior infant class and Ms Mc Guire’s 3rd class. Miss Tuite’s class performed the song ‘I’m Going on a Bear Hunt’, while Ms McGuire’s class sang the Bruno Mars song ‘You Can Count On Me’. Both classes did fantastic and showed great ‘Getting Along’ skills.

We also said good bye to our current captains and vice captains. They have done a fantastic job over the last couple of week and are going to spend the next week training in our new captains and vice captains. We will miss you!!
