March & April in 3rd Class
3rd class started swimming lessons in the National Aquatic Centre. Next week is our last week. Everyone had a great time and we hope all the boys and girls do their best to keep practising!
We’ve been learning all about the famine. We wrote diary entries and listened to stories about the poor people who starved during the famine years.
We’ve also been learning all about the Stone Age and the Bronze Age.
We planted sunflowers and learnt all about how sunflowers grow too.
We even learnt how to sew last month. Have a look at our t-shirts we made for our class teddy.
Last week it was Seachtaine Na Gaeilge and all of 3rd class performed Taibsí no laochra. We were really great. Christina from Ms Kavangh’s class also did some Irish dancing, she was brilliant.
After the Easter holidays, the boys and girls in 3rd and 4th class will start their football blitz. It will be very exciting so we hope everyone practices over the next few weeks.
All the boys, girls and the teachers in 3rd class would like to say a massive thank you to Ms Donegan, Ms Corkery and Ms Nugent who have taught us over the past few weeks. We were so lucky to have them.
Happy Easter everyone. Enjoy your Eater break and see you in a few weeks.
