Recently, 6th class Seomra Phóipín have been learning about the Native Americans. They learned that the Native Americans were mostly nomads, that they lived in 3 different types of homes (depending on their tribe) and that they used animal skin to create their clothes. Native Americans originated in Asia and traveled to what is now North American by using a piece of land that once connected America and Asia. The children also created Totem Poles which were used to scare enemies and used in ceremonies within tribes.
The National Anti-bullying Research and Resource Centre, DCU are hosting the World Anti-bullying Forum 2019, in the Helix, DCU from 4th – 6th June in advance of the Forum they are inviting parents to take part in a short survey (3 minutes) in order to inform questions for their panel on the Parents’ Symposium sponsored by Vodafone, which will discuss online safety for children.

Also there are 28 free one day registrations for parents who are interested in attending the World Anti-Bullying Forum including a Parents’ Symposium which will be held on Wednesday, June 5th @ 2:15pm-3:15pm.
