Spring and Seachtain na Gaeilge in Senior Infants (Seomra Oráiste)

Senior Infants have been very busy over the past few weeks learning all about spring. We watched a video of baby lambs on Ms. Duffy’s farm and we learned about mother animals and their babies. We read the story, “Farmer Duck”, and learned about all of the work that farmers must do. We also learned the names of different spring flowers like the daffodil, snowdrop and primrose. We made some beautiful pictures of these flowers for our mothers on Mothers’ Day!

This week is Seachtain na Gaeilge in Scoil Ghráinne so we are trying our best to speak Irish as much as we can. We have been doing many fun things like cluichí sa halla and going on a siúlóid dúlra to look out for duilleoga, éin, clocha and lots more! We are looking forward to a céilí on Thursday and please come to see us in the assembly on Friday! We have also been learning about St. Patrick and helping our teacher to decorate the classroom with shamrock and Irish flags.

Slán anois agus Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh!
